TALENT AFRICA GROUP UNVEILS FRESH TALENT- LAMU TAG Studios has this week unveiled a newly signed recording deal with rising star, Lamu. A Soroti born, the beautiful Lamu is a Ugandan recording artist who sings in English, Swahili and Luganda. Birth name Ahlam Ismail, the 24 year old bubbly songstress was unveiled on Monday, the 24th of May at the Talent Africa office rooftop in a sundowner cocktail event. The invite-only event hosted several musicians who came out to support one of the next big things on the entertainment scene. TALENT AFRICA GROUP WINS BEST RAP FUSION AT THE MTN HIP HOP AWARDS. Talent Africa Group was awarded as the best Rap Fusion of the year in the just concluded MTN Hip Hop awards for the Nalubaale project, a project named after Lake Victoria’s native name, Nalubaale with the aim of promoting tourism through music. WHAT SPOTIFY COMING TO UGANDA MEANS? Streaming platform Spotify is to launch in 85 new markets with Uganda as one of the new locations and will be bringing the service to more than a billion extra people. The announcement came out of Spotify’s Stream On event, intended to reveal how the streaming-music giant wants to improve both creator and fan experiences on its service.
